Some of the formats available are mp4 (360 and 720), webm, 3gp (244 and 144), HD/mp3. There are two methods to use this Savefrom.net website to download videos for free.
Method 1: Visiting the Website Directly
This method save you the stress of editing the video address. You just need to copy and paste the video URL, select a download format and hit the download button.

To Download Videos Directly from Savefrom.net:
- Go to youtube or facebook and open the video you want to download. Then copy the video URL. For a youtube video, the URL will of this format: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXXXXXXX
- Now go to www.savefrom.net and paste the video URL you just copied in the specified field. Next is to select a download format from the available format options.
- Then finally hit the download button as shown in the screenshot below. Your video will start to download in less than one minute.
NOTE:
Recently, some updates were made on savefrom.net and how it can be used to download videos. If you try to download a video with the above steps, it usually opens a new tab while the former tab tries to play the video. Just close the new tab, it is for ads. Go to the former tab. You will see 3 dots symbol. Click it and select Download. The video will start downloading. But the video name will be changed to Playback. Don’t worry you can rename it to any name you wish after the download is complete.
Method 2: Editing The Youtube Video URL
- This is one of the easiest ways to download any youtube video of your choice. You just need to edit the video URL and the video will start downloading.
- All you need to do is to go to youtube and search for the video you want to download and then copy the video URL. Youtube videos are always of this format: www.youtube.com/watch?v=XXXXXXXXXX
- Now open a new tab and paste the video URL you just copied. Add ss between the “www.” and “youtube.com” in the URL you copied. The edited URL will now look like this: www.ssyoutube.com/watch?v=XXXXXXXXXX
- Now hit the enter key on your keyboard. It will redirect you to the Savefrom.net with the title of the video. Now you select the download format and hit the download button. The video will start to download.
